ABOUT MINDY
I’ve been helping people move, feel stronger, and reconnect with themselves since 2003. What began with teaching yoga eventually grew into a career that has included cycling, barre, HIIT, personal training, health coaching, and Pilates. For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of guiding people toward healthier, more vibrant lives through movement, wellness, and connection.
My passion for helping women feel their best recently expanded into skincare when I became a licensed esthetician in 2025. Today, I love supporting women through both movement and skin health—helping them feel strong, confident, radiant, and well cared for from the inside out.
I’ve always believed that wellness is about so much more than exercise. It’s about how we care for ourselves, how we spend our time, the people we surround ourselves with, and the experiences that make us feel most alive.
In 2018, I had a wild idea: host a yoga retreat. The funny part? I’d never actually been on one myself. So I booked a house on the Oregon Coast, invited a group of women, and hoped for the best. What started as a simple weekend of yoga, hiking, good food, and meaningful conversation grew into something far beyond anything I imagined. Today, through Breath & Story, I have the joy of helping women explore the world, step outside their comfort zones, build lasting friendships, and create stories they’ll carry with them long after they return home.
At my core, I’m a lover of movement, fresh air, and all things health and wellness. You’ll usually find me hiking a trail, planning our next adventure, sipping a good cup of coffee, working on a crochet project, or dreaming up thoughtful details for our next retreat.
But more than anything, I love bringing women together.
There is something incredibly powerful about gathering around a table, sharing stories, laughing until your cheeks hurt, supporting one another through life’s challenges, and celebrating its joys. This beautiful, wild, messy, hard, and wonderful life was never meant to be lived alone.
Creating spaces where women feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and deeply connected has become one of the greatest joys of my life, and I can’t wait to share that experience with you.
ABOUT HEATHER
I’ve always believed in the power of movement, connection, and the stories we create together.
My journey began as a dance teacher, where I discovered the incredible joy of helping people find confidence in their own bodies and the sense of belonging that can grow when people come together. Dance taught me that movement is about so much more than steps — it’s about expression, connection, courage, and community. That passion became the foundation for a career in philanthropy, where for more than two decades I have had the privilege of helping build support for youth-centered spaces where people can learn, grow, and thrive.
Along the way, travel became one of my greatest teachers. I’ve had the gift of living abroad in both France and Romania and exploring incredible places around the world. Every journey has expanded my perspective, opened my heart, and reminded me of our shared humanity. Travel has a way of inviting us to slow down, see the world differently, and discover new parts of ourselves — and sharing that experience with other women has become one of my greatest joys.
I am also a storyteller at heart. I’m a published author and have spent the last five years working on a novel (which I promise I will finish someday!). I believe stories connect us, help us understand one another, and remind us that we are never alone in our experiences.
When I’m not dreaming up our next retreat, you’ll most likely find me exploring the trails of the Pacific Northwest, hiking and backpacking in the places I love most. The mountains, forests, and wild landscapes of this corner of the world have shaped me and continue to remind me of the beauty that comes from stepping outside, taking a deep breath, and embracing adventure.
My own journey has also included seasons of challenge. As a breast cancer survivor, I’ve experienced firsthand how life can shift in unexpected ways. That chapter deepened my empathy, strengthened my appreciation for the present moment, and taught me the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and cared for — especially during the tender seasons of life.
What I love most about Breath + Story is creating those spaces for women. Spaces where we can step away from the noise, try something new, connect with incredible women, laugh, explore, reflect, and create memories that become part of our own stories.
Because life is meant to be experienced — not just accomplished. And some of the most meaningful moments happen when we gather together, open our hearts, and say yes to the adventure.
I can’t wait to share that journey with you.
